Borders/Immigration
To preserve America and return us to our greatness, we must place more pressure on Mexico and Canada to regulate their citizens’ movements. Along with us establishing a better regulated border with these countries.
TOO MANY TOO FAST
Our current wave of immigration is unmatched by any other time in our history. We have almost as many immigrants today compared to between 1607 and 1958. We have let in too many immigrants too fast. By allowing so many immigrants into our country in a short amount of time without fully assimilating them is weakening the cultural bonds of this country.
The United States is the first country to have 36 million foreigners at a time to assimilate. About 90% of the foreign born are from developing countries. In this group, many immigrants still view their native country as their true home. They have come into America to reap the financial benefits and not become one of us. Many of them prefer to remain outsiders, and we no longer demand their assimilation to our country. This is reinforced by the foreign media within our country. For example, Hispanic radio and TV allows their listeners not to learn English. These businesses rely on their listeners to speak their native language and use English only when necessary.
Next, they are bringing sicknesses and diseases with them because the great majority of aliens from developing nations that have poor healthcare systems. There was a time when aliens were given health checkups and shots before entering our country. Since we have allowed political correctness and the desire for diversity to rule our common sense, we have unwittingly allowed diseases that were once eradicated in the U.S. to make a return into the populous. Aliens generally have more preventable diseases than the native born. Diseases such as: tuberculosis, polio, malaria, leprosy et cetera are back more deadly than their original strains. Can Angel and Ellis island be reopened?
Next, we should be very discriminating on the people that come into our country. We should only let in immigrants that wish to become Americans. Ones that are healthy and highly educated according to our standards. We have enough of the lazy, uneducated, and poor in this country. Why should we add to their numbers?
Furthermore, foreigners use public assistance at a higher rate than Americans. About a third never finish high school. The average immigrant comes to this country with less education and skills than Americans. If we are to stay competitive as a country, we have to only allow foreigners in that will be an asset to our country.
Nevertheless, there are differences among the immigrant population. All immigrants are not equal. Some groups come here more prepared than others to succeed. Immigrants from India, Korea, Canada, Germans use welfare at a lower rate than Americans. On the other hand, aliens from the Caribbean, Latin America, some Asian countries use welfare at a higher rate than Americans.
Immigrants that will be self-sufficient should be given preferential access to becoming an American citizen.
AHS has listed ways to protect our border and reform our immigration process.
- Ten year moratorium on immigration. This will allow us to assimilate the current mass of immigrants.
- Be highly discriminatory on who can come into this country. Persons that speak English, can contribute to our country, be educated to our standard, will not be on welfare, want to become Americans, and possibly even be Christian should be given preferential treatment and access to becoming a citizen.
- Follow the 14th amendment, which states, “All persons born or naturalized in the U.S. and subject to the jurisdiction thereof…” We must stop letting Anchor babies become citizens. Since their parents are not subject to the laws of this country they are not citizens by definition and the children are not citizens by birth.
- End chain migration. Only allow the immediate family of immigrants to come in on one admission.
- End Dual Citizenship. There is no such thing as having dual loyalty to two countries, one country will come first in the hearts and minds of the person.
- Remove the Magnets. End the incentives that bring and hold them here, and increase the penalties for hiring and keeping them here. Business people must be punished for hiring illegals. Allow states to create laws that would stop illegals from receiving state benefits.
