Lessons from a Baby

September 8, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Babies, not to romanticize them, are the purest beings among our human species. They arrive with only instinctual impulses. They ask for only the most carnal interactions (eat, love, and nurturing). The problem with this is they deal with adults that have long relegated these emotions to second place among material and superficial things. Cars, homes, money, and clothes rival the things that should be first between familial associations.

Facing Extinction: Parents

Parent Synonyms:

ancestor, architect, author, cause, center, creator, father, folks, forerunner, fountainhead, guardian, mother, origin, originator, progenitor, prototype, root, source, wellspring

With the world’s population quickly approaching 7 billion people, we are without a doubt aplenty with mothers and fathers. However, we have very few mothers and fathers. We have many people that have the capability to have children without the wherewithal to raise a child. This formidable mass produces child after child without concern with raising productive children into productive adults. These parents are selfishly hedonistic and continually refuse to do whatever it takes to make sure their child’s environment is nurturing.

Forgive and Forget

March 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

These must be the most difficult phrase to live out in our day to day relationships.

Forgiving, if for nothing else, is a way to move on from a bad event or series of events with others. Moreover, forgiving is therapeutic for the wronged person. It allows the person to use their mental and physical energies towards other endeavors.

Forgiving also allows room for growth spiritually. Just about every religion espouses forgiveness on some level. This is not to protect the offender but to help the offended to completely release from the offender and his/her actions.

Behavior is the cure for HIV/AIDS

February 8, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

The cure for HIV/AIDS is quite simple… At-risk populations must change their behavior.

HIV/AIDS currently afflicts less than 1% of the world’s population. This is hardly a pandemic and only an epidemic in a few countries (e.g. Swaziland, Botswana). Most of these people can be found in sub-Saharan Africa. These folk engage in behavior which increases the likelihood of contracting this virus. Behaviors such as promiscuity and the lack of prophylactic use are the main reasons why this continent has such a problem with HIV/AIDS.  To make matters worse, some of infected men are raping young girls in the belief that intercourse with these females will cure them of their troubles.

One on One

  1. Making yourself appealing to others.
  2. Show interest in others’ goals and dreams.
  3. Be honest and true to yourself about what is desired in a person of the opposite sex.
  4. Make sure that the things that you feel are important are also important to your love interest.

How simple can it all be? Following these basic rules will allow you to find true love. How many times we all have heard men and women state how hard it is to find a good man or woman? Well, just like any product on the market, per se, a good man or woman will be the first taken. This is not to say there are not good eligible men and women over the age of 30. This statement is only declaring the amount of “good” men and women are drastically reduced.
