What are we: A conservative libertarian think tank.
Mission statement: There are certain truths or truisms that applies to everyone on this beautiful planet. These truisms, in AHS’ belief, can also be applied to the observed workings of the universe. To deter from these broad guidelines, will create pathological and unproductive scenarios for the person or persons that are not working within this natural law.
Humans were designed to operate off of and within certain parameters. Today many of us attempt to create new or recreate failed attempts to live out the human experience. Morally upright people have the chance to succeed in all situations and places on the Earth as long as they follow certain long proven rules.
The world we live in today generally believes that everything from murder to the physiology of the human body has gray areas. That there is no such thing as truth. That it can vary from place to place and person to person. That it is unfair to judge each other because of this variability. Obviously, this has a certain amount of truth. There is much gray area around us in our daily lives. They way a person reasons out events can depend on their values and point of view. However, let us go a little deeper, The Alex Hume Society (AHS) believes underlying these “gray areas” are rules that apply to the human species.
AHS believes the confusion that many of have comes from the inability to differentiate between what is subjective and what is objective. Knowing the difference between the events that have variability and those that do not is one of the keys of life.
It is sad to see so many us spending our time trying to recreate the proverbial wheel. If our society/world is functioning properly, each generation will not have to rebel against everything their predecessors held valuable.
With all this mind, AHS believes it should be everyone’s goal to pursue truth in its many forms and not so many forms. None of us will be perfect. That is impossible and much of the time subjective. However, we all should pursue perfection in our lives and relationships. In this pursuit, even if we fail we can at least know we have tried. AHS thinks we all can be satisfied with that.
So, this site is the written pursuit of knowledge wherever it may be. This will be a living site. What is meant by this is, as AHS obtains new knowledge and can improve upon the information listed therein, it will be done. AHS will never make the assertion that this site is complete in regards to every area of the human experience. AHS does not claim to know everything. AHS only claims to desire to learn as much as possible as time is alloted for this site.
