Native Americans owe Blacks reparations!

Throughout schools in this nation, the government educational apparatus (public schools) are giving an incomplete history of American slavery. They would have you believe that this evil institution was based solely on race and evilness. Yes, those were components that drove the desire to enslave others. However, it was not the only reason…
Generally, the greatest factors that allowed slavery to persist for centuries were economical and cultural. Slavery could not have persisted if the people that were doing the exploiting and the people that were being exploited were not use to this kind of arrangement. Many European and African countries had long been involved in slave trading before 1500 A.D. This generally involved Europeans enslaving other European societies and Africans and Muslim Arabs involved in shipping and trading Africans across the continent and to other continents.
The same holds true for Native Americans. In many circles, this group has been romanticized beyond reality. A group like the Seminoles of the Florida Territory were involved in slavery. Furthermore, the Choctaw, Chickasaw, and the Cherokee nations also were comfofortable with slaves and trading them. Slavery was occurring in their tribes long before the “great white father” appeared on their shores and land.
Undoubtedly, the European race promulgated the vast majority of the American slave trade. However, this bane was around the neck of Native Americans and Blacks too who participated in the slave trade.
So, what does all this mean… It means it is entirely pointless to speak of reparations. At this juncture, there is no way to fairly repay the now deceased slaves for their work. For they are the only ones entitled to repayment. Millions have been earned and lossed since slavery. There is no way to know whether the economic losses experienced from the centuries of free labor would have given blacks a better economic position than what they currently possess in America.
Giving an economically ignorant class of people, regardless of race, reparations would not necessarily help them. The money would undoubtedly be squandered. The best plan of action to take to correct generational errors is to become educated, just as Booker T. Washington over 100 years ago was stated.
Booker T. Washington, a former slave, worked his way up. Not by seeking handouts, but by a great work ethic and honesty. Education is the key to earning lasting wealth. Asking for taxpayer handouts will not help blacks or America in their shared futures.
